I’ve lived in and around NYC for nearly 6 years and it wasn’t until this week that I rode the J train thanks to hopstop.com. Who knew that the J would take me straight from Wall Street to the LES? The J never even entered into my consciousness. Hopstop, thank you! Hopstop is great for friends and family who are visiting you during the work week and you need the city to babysit them. All you do is put your starting and ending locations and it will tell you exactly how to get there via the amazing NYC subway system. And it’ll show you 360 degree views of the streets so that you can find landmarks that’ll help you with the north, south, east, west confusion that I still deal with when I emerge from the subway at a new stop. Love this site!

This is a great site. It actually gives you all of the stops and the estimated time your trip will take as well. And the pictures are great, they point you in the exact direction that you need to walk to get to your destination. Tons of fun for the whole family I say!

I just moved to NY a couple months ago and I was born without an internal compass. I still get lost in my home town (sad but true!). I love hopstop—even I can confidently use the NY subway w/out getting lost. I love the option of more transfers, or more walking. And it works in other major cities too!
